Tarn Shelf - Mt Field

Gday all, I went for a bit of a "scouting" walk along tarn shelf to look for good photo spots when the fagus turns in a few months time, as it was mostly sunny and in harsh light I tried to focus on some of the smaller stuff which was interesting and ended up with a few ok photos

yes i agree, some very nice shots, were you using a polarizing filter for the 3rd and last photo?

4 and 5 did it for me! Brilliant!!

Thanks for the kind words guys. Frenchy, yep circular polariser was used on all shots but the effect is more noticeable on the two you mentioned.

4, 13 and 14 for me, fantastic, and what is really brilliant about Tassie, not just the vistas but the incredible detail - I do miss my old SLR.
All very evocative of a place I am now very familiar with.
The first shot when I glimpsed it, I was sure was mid winter with frozen tarns.

Thanks SBS. Yeah I have historically not focused so much on the little details and concentrated more on the big vistas, but it's great fun looking for all those little details which make up what we see. Lol, well hopefully it wont be too much longer before they are actually frozen over

Loved the one of the many reeds in the lake. A true professional approach in taking the hand you are dealt with and producing outstanding photographs. Maybe I will lug my SLR bush again. Love the convenience of the Canon D10 waterproof camera but the picture quality is rather average and you can not manually set the aperture. A case of proll shift winning out in that market segment.

I enjoy your close up "pattern" photos especially the fourth one with a great bokeh, and focus and colour contrasts, that just make it burst out in 3D, almost.
