I do like the way the combination of your shooting and post processing enhances the sky to more acceptable levels than the over-exposure of the sky that would typically be captured by a lot of cameras in auto mode.
Looks like a nice day for it. Shame about the scarring.

Thanks Adam, manual mode certainly gives you a lot more leeway, downside of course is that a tripod is a nearly always a must.

Hi Michael,
The Needles is a great little walk and so accessible, I've been up there several times. Attached is a picture from the summit from earlier this year (drove down after work one night to be greeted by one of the best sunsets I've seen anywhere) - point & shoot auto style with a 6MP digital, just shows how important the old adage 'right place, right time' can be and of course lighting is everything. Wish I knew a little more about photography & had a better camera - your shots, as always, are great.
Cheers.
Stuart.

Thanks Stuart, the needles are a top spot I love it up there, it has such great views but is so acessable. Thats a great photo, most of the time it doesn't matter how good your technical skills with a camera are it really comes down to being in the right place at the right time with a little bit of luck, if your not out there you cant take the photo
Michael.
