I recently got back from a walk across the Central Plateau - from Higgs Track to The Walls of Jerusalem, and then to Lake Ball, Lake Adelaide and Lake Meston. Then a side trip up Mt Ragoona. Next to Junction Lake and to the Overland Track via Cathedral Mountain. The last few days were spent in the Du Cane Range before I walked out via Lake St Clair.
Photos are on my website beginning with this Menu Page -

Great shots Dave, I particularly like the one of sunrise on Mt Gould.
That snake looks confused...

Hey! She is not topless!! She is wearing a bikini. I had my camera set up on the tripod and it was taking a photo - a fairly long exposure - and the girl (one of two) walked into the frame. Lucky she stood still for a while.

Is it just me or does Halls Buttress look almost identical to Solomons Throne?

Same place - It depends on what map you use. On my Ada 1:25,000 (First edition 1984) it is called "Halls Buttress", and on LIST it is called "Solomons Throne". Bit confusing really!

Interesting. I wonder when the renaming occurred.

Some stunners there. The shot of the Echidna is awesome. So furry compared to ours in Qld. I love the wide landscape shots too.

When you get up early for photos, do you usually have the tent packed away before sunrise?

No - get up - take photos, then back to tent for breakfast, and then pack up.
On weekend trips I use my phone as an alarm to wake up early. On long trips like this one - I use my watch alarm - but put my watch on my billy (with lid on) - and it acts as a resonator to increase the watch alarm noise. It helps to camp in as high a place as you can to get photos.

At the risk of agreeing with everyone else; well done and thanks for sharing. The word "jealous" sprang readily to mind!

Yes agreed on that. That is a trip I would love to do myself. I have been saying that for years.
