Trip to the Flinders Ranges

Last week I went for a short 3 day trip up to my Grandpa's block in the Flinders Ranges. Most of the time was spent lazing around as well as adding a window into my Grandpa's cabin (it doesn't feel like you're sitting in a cellar now  ), but fortunately I was able to make a trip up to Flinders Ranges National Park one of the days and do the St. Mary's Peak Hike. I didn't see the point in risking the summit attempt because it was too cloudy and wet, but it was still a fun stroll. Here's a few photos from the trip.

Looks like a nice fireplace! Its fun going to the Flinders in wet/foggy conditions - it seems so unexpected and different from the usual sunshine :)

The stove works a treat! Keeps you really warm and is quite good to cook on too. That's the first time I have experienced the wet and fog up there. I visited almost exactly a year ago and it was 30 degrees during the day.

Phurt! My first three trips into the Flinders/Gammons coincided with freak summer storms and flood conditions. Half the roads closed, the Pound track washed away, two thirds of the campground closed . . .
