The Sunset Thread

Thought it might be a good idea to start a thread up for everyone to post their sunset pics in.

I'll get started with these which I took at the George Town Monument tonight. The colour was brilliant. Enjoy

Its actually a sunrise but one of the most amazing I have seen. Admittedly I dont see many

Tassie does everything natural better than anywhere else in Aus, but not sunsets, sorry. It's the only thing I really miss, the vivid blue's and the crispness of light(oh and the water temp.)

Rather than spectacular, these couple of sunsets are just quite meaningful to me. No sunset ever returns, you just have to move on to the next one, but these will be particularly hard to repeat.

This is sunset over Lake Pedder (not Fake Pedder) around 1970, just before the flooding:

In the last couple of days of 1999, my wife and I wandered in the Arm River track and camped by the Douglas. I broke my own personal rules by carrying in a bottle of good red, which we drank while watching the last sunset of the 20th Century (no, I don't want to get into the argument about when the century ended!):

This hardly qualifies as bushwalking, but the sunset tonight over Hobart was a delight. There was no walking involved in the photo, just pointed the camera out of the bedroom window:

I don't have many on my work lappy, they're all at home. To fill the void, a couple of these are sunrises. I've always love the cloud formations one of these pictures, the only day where the waves in the sky were better than those in the water!
