For those of you who are into photography competitions for your Tasmanian photos, there's another online photo competition at the 'Real Tasmania' forums which is about to start up again. So now you can win the 'Real Tasmania Cup' as well as the 'Bushwalk Tasmania Cup'!

Although our competitions here are entirely original (taswaterfall's idea, I think?), our annual 'cup' trophy was inspired by our friends at Real Tasmania.

The 'Real Tasmania' cup photo competition for October is now open. Enter at the page linked here (and see the link there to the full rules).

I joined up at RT recently and have just entered this month's comp. It seems to be a bit short of entries though. Since the photographic talent on BWT has been demonstrated month after month I thought I'd mention it, in case people had yet considered entering the RT comp. I believe that entries will be accepted up until midnight on October 31 (AEDT). Images must have been captured within Tasmania but doesn't have to be bushwalking-related, or recent.

The Real Tasmania Cup Photo Comp is one entry short for this month to avoid a rollover. If anyone is interested entries are open until midnight tonight.

Yes, I noticed you had entered . It got to 9 entries after I posted mine but then one was withdrawn. It's now rolled over but I think a new entry came in the following day so should easily reach their target now.

It looks like 4 of the entries for this month are from Bushwalk Tasmania members! (Assuming I'm guessing correctly for a username there that is similar but not the same as one here, and matches their real name and location).
