Very Green Midlands

To steer the thread off track for a moment :lol: I had a bit of time on a return trip from Hobart to Launceton a few weeks ago and took a lot of photos of the VERY GREEN Midlands areas. Here's a panorama from the hill behind Kempton with Table Mountain in the distance, with the hills looking as green as I have ever seen them.

Coming back from Russell Falls via the back roads (including one that was more holes than road) I have never seen the Midlands so green. Ever thing just looked wonderful so I forgive the endless days stuck inside if that would be the result every year. But given the long hot summer coming and it will be but a fleeting flash of green so it is nice to have a great photograph to remind us what is but nature's best dress.

I don't know, having our own inland desert did some how make Tassie feel bigger and more diverse. Seems the midlands is looking more like the north-west coast now, what an improvement and for the farmers sakes let's hope it stays that way for a while. :D
