Bushwalk Australia

Although I have been to quite a few places in Tasmania, I had never been out more than 2 nights before, so my wife talked me into going on the full overland track last April. The weather was very nice for the 8 days.
I have posted a few pictures from the trip under Fagus and Reflections and Toad Rock, but thought I would add a few more, mostly of some less commonly seen settings.

Very nice- great weather. What camera did you lug along with you?

Camera was a Pentax *istDL with a Sigma 18-125mm lens.
I still have a bit to learn about using it and I could have done with a tripod a number of times on the walk.
Perhaps the funniest thing about this trip was the fact that I had rechargeable batteries that were indicating they were out of charge on the 2nd day, and the backup normal batteries indicated they were flat about day 3. We found that temperature had a big influence and managed to eke life out of both sets of batteries by keeping them warm, and towards the end of the walk - by heating them on top of the cooking pot.
They were finally totally dead when we were at the kiosk at Lake St Clair to get the "end of walk" photo.
