Mt Ossa and Pelion Gap

Postby kramster » Thu 22 Mar, 2012 10:56 am

Took a longweekend jaunt up the Arm River Track in early March for 2 nights.
had a fantastic view of the stars.
The following day climbed Ossa in the mist, then retraced out steps back down to Pelion Plains for our second night, and back out ART the following day.
Exciting moment to note was setting off the smoke-alarm in Pelion Hut while cooking/burning my dinner

Thanks ffouire for the photo hints and walking company :)

Nice shots! I expect it will look quite different when some of us go up this weekend. There's a bit of snow forecast for the next few days (down to 600m, I believe).

I heard the forecast is going to be a little chilly. I look forward to seeing some photos of the snow. Enjoy the "early" winter wonderland :)
