Lees Paddocks and dogs

Hi there, I'm wondering if anybody knows whether you can take dogs on the Lees Paddocks walk to Oxley Falls? I'm a very responsible dog owner, would never take them into an area they're not allowed - but can't quite work out what the rules are in this area?

This track is on private land and to the best of my knowledge they do not object to dogs that are under control (the land owners take dogs in) however if you intend heading beyond Oxley falls and into the Paddocks proper be aware that stock may be grazing there and one other thing the swing bridge across the Mersey may not be your dog friendly.

Hi my name is Grant Evans, my mother owns the northern end of Lees Paddocks, however we have always referred to the area as The Paddocks. The Paddocks is privately owned, but the track leading into The Paddocks is either National Parks or World Heritage. The property owners have the right to take cattle, horses, dogs etc through these areas to gain access to there property. Anyone else doing so is doing so illegally.

I stayed at Reg Wadley on Friday night. Beautiful little hut. Didnt actually use the hut, used my tent.
I feel I am intruding into someone elses private home if I use Lees or Reg Wadley.

Agreed re thanks which is much deserved, also agreed re using a tent. A lovely spot, and very relaxing to sit on the Lees verandah enjoying the surrounds, but I do prefer the tent in all but the most inclement weather.

I echo these sentiments. We spent a night camped near Reg Wadleys Hut in March before heading into Pelion via Lee's Track. It was a lovely place to camp and the hut is gorgeous Roger. It was neat as a pin, obviously a womans touch around the place.
I really enjoyed Lee's track and it would be a shame not to be able to experience a beautiful area like this if there were no access for walkers. So Grant,thankyou very much to your family for allowing us the privilege.
