Question about sleeping bag liners

Hi all,

I'm pretty new to this forum and also relatively new to hiking. I've been searching and browsing various topics and finding alot of useful and entertaining reading!!

So I'm considering buying a Sea To Summit - Thermolite Reactor Compact Plus to compliment my cheap (never before used) +5deg rated synthetic sleeping bag (purchased from Anaconda on special)

The bag is 225 cm long by 85 cm wide and the liner is 183 x 90 cm ... so my silly question is will this liner suit any (my) bag or do I need to buy a liner that matches the dimensions of my bag??

It's lighter and more compact than the Sea to Summit micro fleece liners (Premium Toaster Fleece) we use for car camping in winter and for our kids at scouts (they are about half the price but double the bulk)

There are 3 temperature rating bags in the series you have chosen - you've got the mid range one that is also the lightest.

Compact Plus +11 deg C 90 x 183cm 263g
Reactor Extreme +14 deg C 90 x 210cm 399g

Edit - why does it remove the spacings I added when I typed it out, so it was in a table type format?

Thanks for that - this gives me some peace of mind. I'm happy with the mid range as I don't really plan on doing any serious winter hiking so this should do me fine. How realistic is the quoted temp increase of +11? My bag is rated at +5 so with this liner I'm expecting a realistic combined rating of about 0 deg.

I have the Reactor Extreme and you're close to the "realistic" mark at 0 deg.

I tend to use my liner from armpits down and leave arms, shoulders etc free of it.
Works for me.
