Sorry if my butterfly metaphor did move the topic from gear, but for campfire talk, I think I'd prefer talk about metaphorical butterflies than gear. But don't get me wrong, I'm not anti gear. But just back to the butterflies in Britain/central and northern Europe, I can only hope the locals enjoy the increase in butterfly numbers and diversity as that may help console them over the future loss of snow and skiing.
Maddog and Geoskid, you are both very welcome to my next campfire (possibly a metaphorical one but not extravagant if it isn't) and we can discuss this a bit further and anything else that takes our fancy!

The day after tomorrow we no longer need our butterfly nets.
