Does anyone know if there is a track up to Esperance Peak?

Based on a new version of TASmap scale 1: 25 000, there is no track. It is possible to walk up to Esperance Peak via following an unkown creek located south east of the peak and walking up stream for about one and half kms.

Thanks dplanet. Sounds like there might be a bit of scrub-bashing involved.

There is a track up on to Adamsons Peak (the taller peak to the south). Interestingly, on Peak baggers Adamsons is a 3 and Esperance a 2.

It is a few years since I was there, but the approach we took was via Mt Snowy and there was a rough track through the scrub off Snowy but once below that peak and on the main ridge there was no pad at all. Some scrub but the worst could be avoided. Between Esperance and The Calf/Adamson Pk there are several belts of scrub not far south of Esperance Pk and these can mostly be walked around.

Thanks PeterJ- very interesting. I had heard that there was some bad scoparia on the ridge. I'm guessing that water might be a bit of a challege too. Nonetheless, this would be a very good car-shuffle based walk.
