TIP: The online Bushwalk Inventory System can help bushwalkers with a variety of bushwalk planning tasks, including: Manage which items they take bushwalking so that they do not forget anything they might need, plan meals for their walks, and automatically compile food/fuel shopping lists (lists of consumables) required to make and cook the meals for each walk. It is particularly useful for planning for groups who share food or other items, but is also useful for individual walkers.

I had a great pitch. The Duomid was excellent. Cant say the same for my Neoair Xlite. Im still trying to sort my back after last night.

Thats an under quote. Anyone would think someone dropped a bucket of water over my shelter. The whole area was drenched

Weather great. But a bit to hot. I expected it to be a lot cooler.

Lol. It was so nice to camp on such lawn for a change.

I really enjoyed the walk. Will be doing again in a couple weeks. This time with hammock and reverse direction.

It's not just where you're camped. There is hardly a bush in sight. I can even see a fence! :shock:

First off, great effort, you must be pleased with that!

Sorry if it's been buried somewhere in a previous post, just wondering how you find Cuben Fibre in a decent breeze? I'm thinking of making something with CF and it wont be a aerodynamic as your effort [ deliberate ] and the stretch factor concerns me a bit. With silnylon I guess there's a fair bit of give available, not so much with CF?

Or do you factor in the overall strength of of CF and not worry about it? My design, or theory anyway, involves straight panels and a fair "roof"
area so I think it will cop a bit of wind pressure.

Have not got to really test it in very strong winds, the strongest winds has been in my backyard in 20 knots and it had no issues, speaking to other cuben Duomid users they have had the shelters in stormy conditions and had no problems, it is strong.

The non stretch is a huge benefit for me, its great to set a tent once and never have to worry about re adjusting.
