Woahhh hang on. Last time I checked these "online registration" forms were nothing of the sort, they simply emailed to your trusted contact.
Two seasons ago they were nothing more than drivel dressed up at mutton. Even the "form" was squalid. Has anything changed?
As I recall DOCS were almost begging people to protest them.

I would like to make a reminder about rule 21 -Keep replies relevant to the subject of the initial post. If you wish to change the subject, consider posting a new topic separately, and linking to it from the old topic.
Several posts about leaf blowers here have been split off into a new topic, viewtopic.php?f=10&t=13659
Sorry if I missed any, the topic is 5 pages long and it's Saturday morning...
If the moderation team were to split all posts from topics on this forum just because they are off topic, they wouldn't have time to go walking (or do anything else).
However, occasionally, some off-topic replies get reported and so we are compelled to take the time to read the topic, get a grip on what it's about, find posts that don't fit, find another place for them and move them (or remove them completely), and wait for the backlash of people accusing us of over-moderation.
The rules are designed so that if they were followed, moderation would hardly be necessary.
Reminder (with a touch of rant) over.

Fell off this discussion I started about females walking solo, so just thought I'd let you know that I've not gotten lost, fallen, bitten, run over etc etc. Just wanted to say thanks for all those great comments and suggestions by this friendly forum! Also loved people sharing their Overland Track experiences or simply saying that you've done it is encouraging.
Life got very busy after my post (can you believe it's the middle of 2013 now?) written in December, so I've not been solo or accompanied anywhere. ;-( Yes that is a rather loser-ish thing to say on a bushwalking forum but there you go I've said it. I could have waited and did a bush walk to re-post but the way the year is going I really can't be sure and wanted to acknowledge the great responses given by everyone - Hermione, Happy Pirate, Jomad, TerraMer. Love that Helen Keller quote Jason 68.
OK that's all for now since I don't have an amazing solo bushwalking story to share with you all..... hopefully soon.
