I'll assume there are not many on here who are big followers of team sports but what the hell, I'll go ahead and ask anyway.
Who's going to win the second state of origin? In my opinion you couldn't put enough money on Queensland. And I'm sure the refs will help out, after all what's better for football a third game dead rubber or a action packed decider?

The Maroons are just to slow !! they got ran off the park .. An i dont know where there guna find that extra pace ..They just dont have the legs speed to match a younger nsw team over 80 min ..
Im sure the refs will do there best to rob NSW as usual .
But im tipping a series whitewash .

Maroons will win, Still not a massive rugby fan, but watched the lions game last night with a huge union fan mate, and loved it!
That slip by Beale was such a let down to a brilliant contest.
2 Upsets in the AFL this round, Just makes things better for my Hawks...

Tiger Woods now has no chance of catching Jack Nicklaus. I think Jack deserves title of best player ever with the equipment he had in his era.
I tip Feder to win Wimbledon, Raffa is on a comeback, Murray is injured, and Novak is out of form.
Neil Robertson got beat in the Irish Snooker final recently by Dink who had a maximum 147 break on his way to the final, only the 8th one caught on live TV. He was 3-0 up in the final but lost 4-3, still will gon on to be one of the best 3 ever.
Phil "the power" Taylor won the British open recently over a red hot Micheal Van Gerwin who had won the last 3 world titles in a row over the world no,1 Taylor.
And cricket..... PFFFT, Australia at an all time low. Have we ever been as bad, as much a laughing stock, as stupid as we are now?
And as an edit, if PHIL BEESTON is still on the forum, Miami win another NBA title

Who won? Do they stil use Polyarmour bats or am I living in the past?

And now they've sacked the coach, Micky Arthur. I'd hate to be a coach of the national team around these parts, when things begin to fail your out the door regardless of the cattle you've been given to work with.

Well that was probably wishful thinking. Too much talent, doubt the blues will match that again. It was a bit tame on the Biff

How about a *&%$#! sport then?

Played out exactly as I suspected. A third game decider is a massive money spinner for the game and the refs have the power to make sure that result happened. Disappointing as rugby league was once a great game.

Rugby
Fishing
Cricket
I was in Melbourne when the Lions were there - great atmosphere. Hubby and I had a very funny night in a pub with some followers in kilts - one asked what I was in Melbourne for. I replied I was there for a veterinary cardiopulmonay conference. He mentioned a few things about meningiomas and stuff and I then said jokingly - 'what, are you a brain surgeon or something?' LOL - he's a Scottish neurosurgeon! And his mate is a farmer with his own private salmon stream! Bliss - rugby and flyfishing!! And they have good taste in skirts!
Now hubby is in cricket heaven. It's why I'm sitting here reading forums on a Friday night instead of relaxing on the sofa in the lounge room........

Those lions fans sure are a great bunch OSM, we caught up with a few around the traps and had a big laugh with them all. Darn good for the economy as well, they spend many millions of dollars a day when there here. As for the cricket.....................it could be a very long six weeks to have to endure.

I was one of those Lions fans 12 years ago when I first came to Australia as a backpacker, such an amazing thing to be part of the camaraderie between all the Lions fans was amazing singing..drinking..more singing...more drinking..then a game of rugby got in the way..then more singing..more drinking.. It was awesome. Now 12 years on I am an Australian!!

Hey doogs, the singing is just fantastic. I sang the "Fields of Athenry" to some Irishmen after the Brisbane test and they cried like babies. Just great camaraderie as you said.

Big game tonight in the Rugby League, minor premiership decider. Hope it doesn't come down to referee blundering.

..or a fat naked bloke..

That bloke just sentenced this week, something like 6 months gaol!....Surely he's crazy and probation and a fine would be sufficient? At least he was unbiased.
Fri 06 Sep, 2013 10:12 pm
odd really, one bloke whacks another bloke about the head on the field and is loved as a leader of men, some other sod exposes himself and gets three months?
Sat 07 Sep, 2013 8:05 am
I have a vague memory in my head from my childhood....watching a footy game on TV, ARL I think......one of the players too lazy or too absorbed in the game he was a part of decided to expose himself and take a leak on the field.......well at least he walked to the sideline

It's a thugs game. Bloke the other week just shook one out through his shorts in the middle of the field.
Go the Hawks though!!

Coz AFL players are such gentlemen and would never resort to thuggery...for example, setting a person on fire is just a spot of harmless fun right

That's right they are both woeful sports that very few people is the rest of the world play

But that was funny, didnt you see Demetriou's response?
No, but at least it's a watchable sport. Most sportspeople are *&^%$#@!.
