Montane Prism pant and jacket

Has anyone had a chance to try these for an extended period?
While the jacket is probably too lightly insulated to interest me the pants seem to fit in between my normal winter insulation and the very warm and heavy bivvy pants I have which use 150GSM Primaloft Combat

i've got the pants, but have only just got them and only had them on round the house....
they are only 40gm/sm pants,... be ok for walking in the cold. i got them mainly for spring / autumn in camp or bad summer weather. i wanted something light that would pack down small i could use esp if my over trousers are wet..
around camp dont know if they'd be warm enough for mid winter, i wouldnt bet on it, if you want them for that you might want something with heavier insulation 60 to 100 gm....

Ive got the jacket. Definitely not as warm as some. Ive got a patagonia down sweater (which is fairly light on for a down jacket) and its not nearly as warm as it. Prism works well with layers but certainly not a base camp kind of jacket

I use the Prism Primaloft trousers and vest to wear in my sleeping bag, over thermals. Works well down to -7 degrees.

A lot cheaper than the Patagonia DAS/ Puffball pants and 90 grams lighter. I think these pants go on my short list for next year then, for layering over the gridfleece P'Tec 100 longs.
Half the weight of my current bivvy pants, only downside seems to be that they are pull-on not zip-on

I've got a Montane Prism hood jacket as my synthetic insulation layer. I use it a fair bit especially if there's the chance it may get damp, but if it's going to be very cold I wear one of my down ones, or a thin down Montbel down sweater type jacket underneath as well (that I sleep in if it's cold). I've been pretty happy with it.
I chose to get the Das pants for hubby as insulated pants.
Not tried the Montane pants

I have Montbel down pants, took a while to decide between these and the Montbell thermawrap insulated pants. The fact that the down ones came in a women's cut and the thermawraps were the dreaded 'unisex' was the clincher
We have shells to go on top if needed - superlight Montbel dynamo wind pants/nylon waterproofs like Rainbirds/Marmot Precip Pants with zip (appealing to me as I could get differnet leg lenghths and a women's cut)/heavier goretex waterproofs from Mammut and Kathmandu - dependant on conditions of course

I have a pair of cheap snowboard pants that are surprisingly warm that are probably insulated with between 40 and 60 GSM fill, whereas 150 GSM is overkill at -5C.
Due no doubt to the windproofness of the shell

There is a montane minimus rain jacket 230 grams on eBay from a good ausy seller who I've bought gear from before also has a zpacks Cuben fiber rain gear...

I looked for the Prism pants to match my Fireball smock while in the UK. Couldn't find any in stock. Probably due to the approaching summer. Price from backpacking light looks pretty reasonable.

Agree these would be great cool camp wear or cold walking wear. The Fireball is a nice and warm smock, the prism should be similar.

ultralight uk didnt have them earlier when i wanted them either, i had to get them from prolite gear in the states.

I have the flux jacket, which has more fill than the prism. Great jacket but I add a down vest for round the camp for when its really cold. It was around 100 bucks from mainpeak on sale.
