Tarp Tent Stratospire 1 - how friendly do you get?

OK so I'm still in the market for a new tent, my new hammock not withstanding, and am looking keenly at a Tarptent Stratospire 1 or 2.
This will be a tent mainly for NQ weather plus temperate summers and shoulders so needs good airflow and fly-free pitching and decent vestibules and It would need to accommodate 2 people a few times a year.

My concern is that the Strat 1 seems a little cozy for 2 people if you aren't at that special canoodling stage in a friendship.
Does anybody have experience sharing a Strat 1 with a platonic friend? Or even with a partner?
How does lowering the tub floor affect water resistance?

If I were to instead consider the Strat 2, how does it compare to the Sixmoons Lunar Duo - Explorer which is about the same weight.

I think the width of the Strat 1 inner is the same as the Scarp 1 inner at 32"? Although roomy for one, I certainly wouldn't want another person in there with me. However, I do know Robert H shared my particular tent with his partner prior to my purchase from him.

I would go for the Strat 2 or Lunar Duo as you have suggested. Do keep in mind that the lunar duo is single skin, not sure if condensation is an issue in the tropics?

I own a SS2 and have nothing but praise for it!. I used it for a week over New Years up on the Main Range near Blue Lake in VERY windy weather and it was superb. It is great to just use either inner in Summer ( I have the 1/2 solid inner) or the fly as a tarp style.
I have just weighed mine now ( see pic ) 1345gms - includes 6 easton gold alloy pegs and seamsealed fly and all tieouts with spectra cord.
For the minimal weight difference I would go with the SS2 - a little extra weight for a whole lot more space.

total weight includes pegs/guyline/seam sealed fly/ 1/2 solid inner

The weight in your pic seems a bit more than specified (1.1kg). Is there anything extra adding to that?

The SS1 is a solo shelter that can take 2 x 50 cm mats by dropping the bathtub floor a few inches each side.
So in my view it can be used on the odd overnighter with another person , the lay-out make it easy to top and tail, but obviously it isn't a comfortable set up that way.

Nope she isn't, and yes I posted them before in another topic about tents on the forum. The pics were taken over New Years 2012/13 near Blue Lake in KNP.

Ok, here I have done a revision, took tent apart and noticed I had left a homemade attic in it and also no pegs! so...........
Fly (seam sealed myself with silnet ) - 744gms
Inner ( partial solid inner option ) - 518gms
extra guyline x 2 - 12gms
stuffsac - 21gms
I haven't included pegs as I think I have them in another tent but they are 6 inch Gold Easton Aluminum that weigh 10gms each ( according to Tarptent site) x 6 = 60gms
So the totals by my scales ( including peg weights) =1355gms. I have included new pics I just took now, the only "extra" weight on my tent is 2 x homemade zipper pulls which probably don't even weigh anything. I put a good amount of silnet around the spots where the hiking poles attachments go.

It would seem it comes in a fair bit heavier than specified?
I guess the partial solid inner adds a little.
