G'day All,
I am heading to the SCT later this month and see that on my map there are two routes around Menzies Bluff.
Are both of these routes still being used ? or is one a re-route.
Does the coastal route would give better views?
I have measured both and they seem to be about the same length and the terrain seems a little flatter on the inland route.
For those who have walked the SCT which route would you recommend.
Thanks in advance
Genesis

For lack of a local expert, I think it's the southern track genesis. I seem to recall a boot scrubber just before crossing that creek at the western end of Prion bch.. which would lead to suspect the northern track is closed?

Thanks Nuts,
Of course I would have found out upon arrival there but I like to be prepared. Now just keeping an eye on the weather and hope out flight in is
not delayed!

Hi Genesis
Completed the SCT early December 2012 and walked the coastal track over Menzies Bluff. Did not see any sign of the inland route. The attached photos show the views from the track over the coast. The track rises away from the beach but no great climbs involved in this section. I have also attached a Google Earth file showing our trip and the elevations. We had a magic trip with only light rain on the final days walk out to Cockle Creek. Have a great trip, we did.
Cheers Tim
