OK Bit of a fluke mentioning leeches from Lake Ayr only to cross over with Mary Creek Plains [Says to self - must refrain from using Google Earth... scary]
Better put an easier one in - but precision please.
Looking east over Lake Hanson from the track around the back of Hanson

It actually looks like Ben Lomond possibly taken from somewhere like Gunns Lake or Little Lake? (off Poatina Rd region somewhere?)........I'm probably way off!!!
Yeah I pondered that also. Perhaps on the saddle btween Hanson Peak and Mt. Campbell, using a bit of zoom. I've never seen Lake Hanson in anything but horrible weather or impending darkness however.
"Don't do today what you can put off 'till tomorrow." (Work that is!)
tasadam has all the tools for precision (almost spot on), and sthughes had it right (then add all sorts of options to hedge his bets ), but I will give it to norts as close enough, especially as he refined it to the track around the back of Hanson.
I can't remember if this is one spot you put up in a post [edit - it was Tazdaz], but I reckon its Mount Cullen looking out over Hermit Basin Shucks .. Nick beat me
Another one from a previous post: Quote: "The view from Mt Innes was very rewarding, even though its only 660m high, the view north along the range to Mt Lee and Frenchmans Cap, and the rugged Prince of Wales range to the east were worthy of any >1000m peak in Tassie."
I was wondering what that photo would look like - and now here it is. The key for me was getting the profile of Frenchmans Cap on the left hand horizon. I can sort of guess where Diamond Peak might be. Sheesh.. pause for a few minutes to see if anyone else wants a try & bang they get it first off.
Looks a great area to visit Nick, on my infinite list of places to go. ....I'll put the guess down to detective work
Here's an easy one, then I'm going to see my WAIA councilor ('Where Am I Anonymous') to see if I can beat the addiction; no doubt there will be a few other takers. I will just be a quiet observer for a while I think, also need to get some work done!!!
It looks like Lake Jupiter, so I would you were about the 680 metre altitude on a ridge southeast of Lake Calisto, roughly 1KM. Also south of Lake Ganymede. In the WA, obviously.
I had to be a detective to work this one out. But am I right?
