Hi all,
I have been mulling over supporting a cause that is unrelated to my business, well it's actually related to one of my jobs but not to the one I am considering donating a percentage from.
Do people care to know, or do people see it as merely a marketing ploy?
I swing back and forth from "just do it without others knowing", to "let people know as it may raise awareness", though I am concerned about people seeing it as just some sort of marketing ploy.
I was involved in a fundraiser a few years back on the back of a sea kayak trip I did with a mate, and I am keen to help out a similar cause again but this time through a longer term commitment.
I would be interested in people's thoughts.

I would suggest be up front about it (same as I am re Kiva in my signature). It doesn't need to be any more than that and it may just influence some viewers/readers.

Yeah I guess if I did put it on the site it would be done discreetly without it being in people's faces. E.g. ?% of our sales goes to supporting .......
