I love it. I have picked a few, but they're ones that have been solved before I saw them. But it's given me so many ideas for future walks . . . and made me even more homesick. :(

How can a view like that be described as "mundane" eggs?
I suppose the requirement for posing an answer now has three parts
1) You know the answer
2) You have a pic for the next round
3) You are not feeling guilty for guessing too many so far...

So saying, I'd say the latest contribution is from Mt Oakleigh (or part way up anyway)... looking across at Mt Pillinger and Cathedral Mt

Or trying to guess

I agree about the mundane reply too. Not many views you can see in Tassie's wilderness that can be called "mundane".

Not Mt Oakleigh

I apologise for suggesting that it is mundane.
It was not from a peak and it was not as dramatic as some
But it was a great place to get to

If you have not been there it may be a little difficult
My suggestion is to identify the mountain at the rear with its distinctive skyline

Another one that seems familiar but I have no real idea. Still time for a stab in the dark: How about Stacks Bluff on the right from Midday Hill?

Not Stack's Bluff

Its somewhere south of Mt Oakleigh but north of the Queenstown to Hobart road

Wow, this one has slowed us down.

Is it Mt Gell on the far left? Taken from the Rufus Canal Road or perhaps even the Lyell Highway.

Must admit that the colours look like you are in or close to the Cradle Mt - Lake St Clair NP.

Mt Gell is the distinctive peak I was after.
But this is not from any roads.
The headwaters of a famous river lie on the plateau/range in front of Gell.

You might say I am on a path less travelled - but a proper track all the same
I see norts has added a suggestion

Cheyne range is correct but the location is close but not quite

I will give this to norts
I had not thought it would be so hard,
But I was after Byron Gap

I could see Lamonts Lookout rising up from the saddle and that is the north end of Olympus

Edit - and I see I crossed over messages again
This blackberry is a bit fidlly
Over to norts

Looking south at Gould, Minotaur, Acropolis, Guardians etc from near the Ducane Range summit. I've got a picture similar to this one :D.

EDIT: Parthenon not the Acropolis

Have fun. It's funny how hard it is to get the exact location right. This one has a slightly different perspective on a couple of peaks:

The peaks on the left look like Macs Mtn and (nevertheless) Nerius on the extreme left - and further to the right would be Walled Mtn, now what is the bluff in front - part of the Guardians? So my guess would be from Manfred?

That was a great photo norts.
Brought back memories of climbing the acropolis in a white out and covered in snow.
We sat for about 15 minutes at the top freezing - especially our wet feet, but the cloud lifted and the fresh snow covered peaks were arrayed all around.
Glorious.

And MJD - it is curious how a search on this site can pick up where photos may have come from

Eggs - very true about searching the site. One thing that I have been trying to do is restrict my photos to those taken before becoming a member.

I would be interested in how many visitors find this game interesting or educational, even if you have not played. There have been a few comments to that effect. As a "game", I certainly have been fascinated by a lot of the photos.

Inspirational game, not very equitable, but inspirational.
V. motivating. I think I now have at least 62 multi-day walks planned for the summer/autumn period(need to get game cred).
Plus plans for a new stills and video camera, not to mention all the kit I will need.

Hmmmmm, house must be on the market soon.
Thanks, walkinTas
