Your clues are way to cryptic for my liking! I've got no idea. Maybe we can narrow down the island??? Bruny possibly?

I don't have any personal experience of Bruny Island (hopefully will have in a couple of months time though - we are planning a weekend there)......but is it North Tinpot on South Bruny?

I assume then that it is taken from Mars Bluff overlooking Miles Beach?

MFrom Mars bluff looking over Miles Beach to Cape Queen Elisabeth, in Moorina Bay
Beautiful spot first thing in the morning, there were a dozen wallabies on the shoreline, right at the waters edge!

Over to you Phil

It is a little hard to tell but the rock looks like that conglomerate around Roland. I think I can make out Quamby Bluff in the center distance and Ben Lomond in far distance to the left of frame. Also guessing that the town in the mid-distance is Mole Creek so this should be from Mount Roland looking South Westish.

If correct anyone else may feel free to submit an image.

Actually, perhaps it's looking east from VanDyke. I can see Dogs Head Hill in the centre and the Gog Range to the left with Quamby & Mother Cummings further away.

I love the rock formations on this summit. I told my son they were moon rocks as they are covered in little crater-like dimples. I also led him to believe the scoparia in full flower surrounding the pools were part of a giant's garden.

A summit with pools, and possible to get a young TT there...
Oh, and a giant's house nearby. That's gotta narrow it down a bit.

No-one else is playing... I need a hint. Is that Dry's bluff hiding in the mist in the centre top?
Hang on, I see a radio tower off to the left. Maybe that's Barrow... Going to check the map...
Aha... Looking between Mt Barrow and a hill that runs up beside Bennies Creek to the north (right), ah darn someone just posted so I have to go look...
Mt Maurice you say... Haven't found that one yet, just found the Ben Nevis track but that one looks too high...
I agree about looking past barrow tho, map looks like it.
Still searching for my guess...

Well done, Wello! Maurice it is. To complete the picture, here's another view from Mt Maurice with the giant's garden in full bloom.
100_8003 (Custom).JPG
Previously I have mountain biked / walked in from Knights Road near Diddleum Plains as per The Abels. However, in January this year, I started from Maurice Road which is just drivable from Trenah near Ringarooma. (Not sure what the road is like from the south.) Maurice Road makes for a much shorter walk for TT juniors but the track is very overgrown!

Yep Wello, well done. I learnt 3 things tonite.
1. This game wastes far too much time
2. I now know the ranges south of Cuckoo quite well, having never been there...
3. Thelist maps gives me the right royal &^%(&^% trying to find stuff.

Oh well that was fun trying.

Is it taken from Howells Bluff looking south over Lake Louisa to Mt Rogoona?

I'll have a guess since no one else seems to be playing at the moment;
looking to Lake Louisa & Mt. Rogoona from the Lake Myrtle track?
Just a guess really...
