Gosh... 39 pages of posts to go through.
And if I do a search for your posts in the game it's only 8 pages (at 30 posts a page).
Think I'll try later when I have time, suffice to say I don't recognise it.

I thought this one would be a little easier for you tasadam - as it was one of your photos that shows my location.
And there were quite a few posts at the time - with extra explanatory photos added.
And that rock is purple conglomerate.

Lake Herbert perhaps.??

This one is a bit bigger than Lake Herbert - but you are in the right part of the state.
It is near a 4WD track and is not a "regular" bushwalking spot.
We walked along rough roads and setup camp at 9pm - before packing up and retreating quickly the next morning in front of bad weather approaching.

Lake Spicer maybe??

Not Spicer, but that is getting closer.
This lake is at a much lower elevation and nearer a township.

Basin lake it is and the tent is on Hamilton Moraine

That was generous. I think I answered what you were looking at more than where you were.
Try this one. Bonus points if you name the islands.

I thought I had posted a few tough ones, but this one is difficult
I reckon I am looking at Cradle Mt past the north side of St Valentine's Peak
But that places me above the Cam River somewhere near Henrietta Plains.
I don't appear to be on a peak - so perhaps a walk to a waterfall?
Wed 15 Jul, 2009 11:03 pm
Let's see if someone can get closer in the next half a day or so!
Thu 16 Jul, 2009 12:39 pm
Using eggs clues (as I have no idea), I would probably have said on the opposite side of the river from Henrietta Plains looking past Saint Valentines peak towards Cradle. I can't seem to pick up the name of the track (which is shown on The List) or a peak/hill name from where I believe the photo may have been taklen from

Hi Everyone,
Good work, Eggs and Phil. You are correct about the peaks. I have some clues up my sleeve but first I will see if anyone else wants a 'clue-free-go' this evening. Perhaps I should just say that I'm not near Henrietta or the Cam River.
Best regards,
TasTrekker

I think you'll have to give a few clues TT just to keep people interested.

Here's a quick clue. I'm on a walking track at the summit of a named hill in a recognised bushwalking area. On this half-day walk we also visited a waterfall and a beach. I'm looking for the photo which looks the other way and I'll post that soon.

With your clues placing you further north than I would have thought, I'll take a punt on you climbing Broadwiew Hill in Rocky Cape National Park, and having visited and Betts Falls and Razor Beach.

Well done Tas-Man. I am indeed on Broadview Hill so you get the gong. However, I was actually en route to Doone Falls and a swim at Anniversary Bay on St Valentines Day this year. (Our real anniversary is in July so not usually the best weather for a celebratory swim!)
Here's the photo looking the other way.

OK folks, here's the next one for your enjoyment

I think this is taken from the Anthony Road just before Lake Plimsol on the West Coast -
with Cradle/Barn Bluff on the distant left and Pelion West on the distant right.
That would make the near mountains Whitecliff Hills, and the one on the left Sophia Peak.
The ridge intruding on the left side would be part of Arnold peak.

Here I was thinking that the pointy peak was probably Mt Anne! I really need to get out more!
Fri 17 Jul, 2009 11:22 am
Actually - the left side ridge couldn't be part of Arnold peak - but appears to be an unnamed ridge to its East.
And the photo may not have been taken from the road, but could have been from a side road or climbing up the ridge behind.

Congratulations once again to
eggs - I was standing on the side of the Anthony Road about one kilometer north of the Lake Plimsoll outfall, where the road takes as tight LH bend heading north, and looking towards the Cradle NP to the NE. I remember taking a lot of wonderful slides from along the roadside around 1988? when the public had only recently permitted access along the Anthony link road, and the verges were all clear. Not so now. Here's a photo of the information sign near where I took the photo.
