Climbing forever

Have you ever had the feeling that there is no top to the climb, that it will go on forever? Hannels Spur is a good example. If so, there’s an inside view on this.

It's a split screen video trick. RIT does not have such a staircase apart from Escherian stairs drawn on paper. Movie magic!

Travis and GPS, very good. The video looks puzzling, but seeing is not believing. See

The giveaway is actually quite easy. Strip off the hyperbole and use common sense. There is no way that a person can go up and without going down return to the start point. What I want is the reverse: start at the bottom and finish at the top, easily. Maybe a gondola or escalator. Of course there's a modern solution, "Beam me up, Scotty." I wonder if there's an app for this.

Ah the digital age, I can't imagine that could be spliced together so seemlessly on film.
I was thinking what a load of BS, a physical impossibility but the circuit he does with the chain of people around the walls
is a holy crap moment. Maybe there's some flaws somewhere and my feeble eyes just wanted to accept what I was seeing.
