We are looking at walking from Cape Sorrell to Port Davey in Feb/March next year and just wondering how to manage the food drops. I have read you need to fly food drops in with a helicopter. If this is the case does any know how expensive this is. Appreciate any advice, thanks.

Maybe you should sign-up for SPRATS while you are at it (or see if they would consider doing a food-drop for you)

There could be the possibility of a fishing vessel dropping food for you if you're walking along the coast. We were able to get a lift to Nye Bay on the west coast by a very hospitable fisherman, so I don't see why one of the fishing vessles would object to dropping food. Of course you'd want to know exactly where it was being dropped though. Sounds like a great walk though. Good luck!
