4-5 day walk leaviin from Hobart

Mon 18 Aug, 2014 7:47 pm

Hi all,
I'm after some suggestions for a 4 (or 5 at a push) walk in Tassie in last week of Sept.

One plan is to do Mt Anne but getting transport from Hobart at that time of year is proving difficult so I'm looking for an alternate.

Anyone got some good suggestions on where I might be able to head, leaving from Hobart (I won't have a car) with 5 days Max up my sleeve?

There will be 2 well travelled, experienced hikers with plenty if experience and a great level of fitness - and we will have packed for extreme conditions.

Cheers!

Catch a bus to Frenchman's Cap?

Or bus to Lake St Clair and wander around the Labyrinth for a few days.

Labrynth is good, lots of peaks to climb and a good hut to retreat to in Pine Valley if the weather is bad. In September it is likely to be very windy, mostly is in spring in Tas.
