great to hear that your wife doesn't smoke mate. She just needs more fitness training ? lawn mowing, hedge clipping, fence repair springs to mind

Anyone that has done this, is there anywhere to camp (sling a hammock) near the rock? I have 1 weekend for the rest of the year to get out coming up and hoping to test the hammock out..this looks like a good possibility

Not camped there but lots of trees available. Quite a few relative clearings along the track to provide options. Water source will be your major issue. Pretty dry up there.
RobGosford: Funny there! You want to send me to the dog house?

Cheers gps. Water not an issue ill bring enough with me, good to know about the small clearings.

Flipping through my photos, below is an example of the trees available (looking East towards Taffys Rock). Essentially, small-medium sized trees are available in sections eg. Half way up or down hills. There are patches of clearing dotted along. Rob may be able to supplement with additional info. Hope this helps.

Thanks mate. That was my concern, that perhaps the trees in the area might be a bit small. I dont mind heading track a bit, perhaps staying close to taffys might not be possible. Wish I had a chance to.check it out before doing the overnighter

Plan for a full day but obviously depends on your pace and whether you'll stop for meal and explorations along the route.
