TIP: The online Bushwalk Inventory System can help bushwalkers with a variety of bushwalk planning tasks, including: Manage which items they take bushwalking so that they do not forget anything they might need, plan meals for their walks, and automatically compile food/fuel shopping lists (lists of consumables) required to make and cook the meals for each walk. It is particularly useful for planning for groups who share food or other items, but is also useful for individual walkers.

My Kiwi friend put me on to this site & I am now an addict  While I have sourced most of my gear from the lovely people at all the outdoor shops in Lonnie, this site is very, very competitive site.
There is a price conversion to $AUS, delivery within a working week & if you spend over $100 then postage is free.
Info & photo accompany all items.
Many well known brands:
Berghaus BlackDiamond CamelBak Exped GORE-TEX Icebreaker Kovea Leatherman MSR Osprey OutdoorResearch Petzl SeaToSummit TheNorthFace
....just to name a few.
Discounts on old or superceded gear, special sales, etc.
No joining fee, regular newsletter.
Returns, exchanges & refunds available.

Check it out, might be of interest to some of you.

I got my last tent from there, and was very impressed with the site and the price. They actually have a member on this site, but he's only made a few posts, mostly to clear up issues related to products or services on their site that were already being discussed.

Thanks for the plug - we try but have a long way to go before we are where we could be as an online retailer - relatively small company = more ideas than time and people to do them.

I do try and avoid posting on forums as too easy to slide from informing to promoting and the independence of opinions is most valuable part of them. The gear passion on this site is geeat however so follow it closely. Just posting now to apologise in advance if the site starts thinning a little over the next couple of months.

We have a brand new site in the works and all the energy is going into building that one with more cool things than adding more to the current site. We are due to go live in late October but that is up to the developers meeting timelines and my experience of that has always been disappointment not matter how low I set the bar.
