It is also fairly easy to follow the creek itself down - or up, if you prefer. I did that on the way back and it was great fun with some very nice views.

I was in there about a month ago. I'd still advise going in the southern end, park about 10-15 minutes walk before the start of the track. If it's one of the newer Foresters (more clearance than the old ones) you could get it all the way to the start of the track, but I wouldn't recommend driving the last 1 or 2km unless lifted and decent tyres.

If coming in from the north end take a saw or something as it's getting pretty overgrown. There is also mud, deep ruts (that can be avoided with care) and an annoying tree down that you can just sneak around (or like me dent your car trying).
