Snow Forecast for Melaleuca on Monday!

Postby ant_eater » Fri 31 Jul, 2015 7:53 pm

The Bureau has forecast snow for Melaleuca and the S/W early next week!! I have personally never seen snow forecast for a sea level site in Australia.

Sounds like a perfect time to hit the South Coast Track.

Well, even here at Primrose there's a light dusting. Hobart would look brilliant. Last time I remember seeing snow this low was back in the late 70s.

Agree. Carving Telemarks down the Ironbounds, skating across New Harbour, ah, the joys of skiing.

I was thinking more of the New River Lagoon, but yeah, that would be cool. Errrr, I mean, freezing cold . . .

Oops, that too. There are too many new places on the SCT, very confusing! My understanding is that it's cold enough in Tassie to freeze the walls off a bark humpy.
