Anyone been lately and if so where was the snowline?
Particularly interested to hear whether getting to the top of the Cap remained possible without any equipment.
Cheers,

This was the view from Mt Rufus on 01/09/15.
Snow line there was around 1100 m, which should be similar to Frenchmans, although there has been a few relatively warm days since.

A mate of mine got back from an attempted ski trip just the other day. Said the snow past Barron Pass was a bit of a motley mix. Crampons or snow shoes a must for the summit ascent.

Thanks Guys.
Thinking of heading in next week so any update on the amount of snow from Barron Pass on would be much appreciated.
Cheers,
