Not floating down the Picton robl.
Not the Florentine, but you're getting very warm ILUVSWTAS.
...And I'm not actually crossing the river, strictly speaking.

Not Little Florentine. Another clue, it is south-east of the Florentine.

Aha! Yes, it is the Styx River ILUVSWTAS. The location is in the Styx Big Trees Reserve past Maydena. This specific spot is at the end of a short track that leads down to the river, very close to the boardwalk circuit promoted by Forestry Tasmania. I walked a short distance past the official end of the track and onto a rocky sandbank that protrudes into the river, which is what gives the impression I that may be standing on a bridge or crossing the river. Your turn.

Nicely done! Definately looked as though you were on a bridge! Or crossing over a log.

Ok lets see.....

I certainly have not been here, but it has a central to SW feel about it. If the pointy peak in the distance is Diamond Peak, and the range the POW's, then you could be standing on the Pleiades, but this is all a bit of guesswork, and may generate a clue 8) A nice photo with great depth of field, so must be at maximum wide angle setting which may confuse the feel for distances.

OK then, next guess is looking at Naturaliste Peak from near the track in the saddle north of Florentine Peak in the Mt Field NP.

That was thanks to Google Earth in 3D and the clue that it was "much much much more visited!" Here's how it looks in Google Earth as close as I could get.

Now to dig out some old slides for a new photo, as I have covered all my digitally photographed areas!

I got a bit diverted going through my slides, but eventually decided on one for you, ILUVSWTAS
As there was not a specific "feature" that I took this photo from, I am looking for the name of the creek to the right of the photo. or the feature about half a kilometer behind me. Have a go anyone and I will drop a clue or two to 'encourage" you.

No, you have gone too far away from your first suggestion, Horseshoe Creek is closer, but the feature behind me is a beach. I reckon you know the Range anyway

That's it, spot on :!: Your turn again 8)

The photo was taken from a hill circled in the photo below, which was taken a few hours earlier when descending the South West Cape Range heading for the sheltered campsite under the trees at Murgab Creek. One of my absolute favourite places, but the weather was special for SW Tassie on that occasion.

It is a magical place! we had 7 days of fabulous weather, got crayfish at Noyheener (that correct spelling??) and had a very relaxed rest day at GORGEOUS windowpane! Saw 6 walkers the whole time and for early Feb We were amazed at that!!

Still one of my favourite walks ever!! With some track and some off track walking and very little mud which is so common on the South coast!!

Ok here goes a more "central"one..
