One easy way to remove exif data is to save the image in a format that doesn't support it (ie anything but jpeg or tiff). Preferably you can then save it back to jpeg again so that it uploads and downloads quickly.

Sorry I should have said that was in response to geoskid's post about removing exif data from images before posting them.

Wow - that is quite a few crossover posts here. Including this one.

Firstly - geoskid got the answer correct - it is Mt Amos (c'mon ILLUVSWTAS - keep up  )

Secondly - robl - the picture I put up was to show where ILUVSWTAS was when he took his photo.
So it was south from Hartz picking up Mt Snowy, Esperance and Adamsons Peaks in the distance.
The key photo was from the saddle north past Hartz to Picton and an edited out Mt Anne in the distance

Now geoskid needs to tell us if he wants to have a crack at posting one. :)
I have never removed exif data from my photos - so you can see date and time and camera. Have you put the location in your data?
I do rename the file before posting if the name gives it away.

ILSWTAS - Thanks for the easy one - too kind :)
Eggs - Been over in testing & learning, bit of bother with sizing. I got my wires crossed with Exif Data - Need it in monthly comp for proof of date, I only need to take it out for this game if date is going to give away location thru previous posts about the walk it was taken on.
Robl - thanks for posting next photo.
I'll get a post going in testing and learning about uploading photos, it might help someone else too - I can't possibly be the only one on the Forum that can't do it - YET.
Carry on :)

Geoskid take a look at the info at the top of the Gallery forum on how to upload images.

And you will find a list of useful software in an earlier post, including software to remove exif info.

Good luck!

flyfisher is along way out.

The only place that immediately came to mind with this photo (no google) was the tarn on the western side of Schnells Ridge
I have a cloudy shot of that location & while the basic shape is spot on, I could not see the prominant rocks in your photo near the outlet or figure the way there is a secondary ridge in the background and it feels like it is a smaller lake than the one on Schnells. But apart from that - it is very similar. :(

Black Bluff is a worse guess than Swallows Nest Lakes.

Schnells Ridge is better than the above guesses.

What a fluke  ! Actually, I sort of recognized it, the last time I was there was on a traverse from Reeds Creek to the southern end of the range, then along the tops to Lake Rhona. That was ... 1983
Camped not too far from this tarn - lightning and storms all night if I remember correctly, and lots of hail at Gordonvale on the way out.
Anyway I can't post a picture from here, it's open to the first comer...

A quick one while robI is getting organised. I have been looking for locations that have not yet appeared in "THe Game", and here is one. There is a confirming clue in the background detail 8)
