Design help wanted

Cecile and I want to make a cover to bring home the Paris sleds in
I have fortuitously a largish piece of polyester Oxford here.
I was thinking of a simple box footed tube with a fold over top and some straps to tighten it up
Can anybody think of a better design?

Looking at a picture of a Paris sled, I think a plain tube with the end closed, no box, then a long flap over top (6" to a foot ) would do the job.
The tapered front end of the sled goes to the closed end.

I was thinking a shallow boxed foot would make fitting the carry handle and shoulder straps look a little neater was all

A large tube expedition duffel bag that they could fit in would be great. You could then place the duffel in your pulk for your Falls Creek expedition and put all your gear into it and lash it to the pulk

This is one project I haven't taken pix of during the process but almost finished. Should be wide enough ; it is certainly long enough
If not wide enough I'll cut it open and add straps

Basic tube with a small boxed foot and some straps.
It will be a bit tight but OK I think
Main reason for making it is to comply with the "Conditions Of Carry" from QANTAS that all sporting goods need to be in an appropriate carry bag.
It is a no cash cost project as I had everything here and the canvas was an old Op-Shop purchase for $5- a year or two ago
No carry handle just the shoulder strap

No stitching on the buckle so therefor field replaceable easily

Added a couple of LoopLocks at the last minute in case I need to compress in the other direction for the trip over

Has worked well
It fits a minimum of 6 Paris sleds easily, at the moment it has 6 Paris Expedition sleds plus 4 smaller LW sleds and with the FG poles we purchased it weighs just on 22 kilos and compliant with QANTAS requirements for bulky sporting goods carried as luggage

If anybody is interested in buying sleds over in the USA and bringing them back as sporting goods luggage I'd be willing to loan this in the future
