Sadly another Tasmanian bushwalking legend has passed.
David joined the Launceston walking club around 1950,
David walked with Kieth Lancaster & my father on many trips.
David held various positions with the LWC, including president.
He was awarded life membership in 1963.
I had the pleasure of knowing David through the Friends of Cradle meetings.
David's funeral is on Saturday at 11:00am
At 117 Forbes St Devonport.
Sympathy to Fran, Libby, John & family.

Dave Pinkard was one of the "legends" of Tasmanian bushwalking, and this tribute to him was published in the Launceston Walking Club's Winter-Spring LANGANA magazine.

Here are some photos of Dave Pinkard that give some insight into his bushwalking activities in the LWC.
