That's good to hear!, I've not seen or heard of sightings for a good few years.
I'm actually concerned there's more going on with Quolls as well than has been realised (or released), from the abundance needed to produce odd colour variants to almost none in traditional places, in the space of the same few years.

Your concern is well founded Nuts.

I'd heard comments and speculation but that's an interesting (and worrying) discussion. Thanks.
I had been thinking locally and on the OLT there were several thriving family groups around the huts as late as 09/10.

Not near New Pelion specifically, but I saw one on the OLT last year.

Thanks, yes, (Eastern quolls?) I've no doubt they are still about.. and haven't particularly been asking just noticed anecdotally, that the numbers are down. Locally, I suspect feral cats take an unmeasured substantial toll ( on top of any seasonal change effect).. but better leave it there. Have seen then elsewhere and in the park.. And a number of healthy Devils in my travels in recent years. : )

I saw one two weeks ago trying to cross the road out near Tasmania zoo. First I wondered if it had made it's way from Narawntapu then I thought maybe a escapee from Tasmania zoo?
