Water at the Farmyard, Cathedral Ranges NP

Wed 17 Jan, 2018 10:16 pm

So the Parks Vic site says there's no water at the Farmyard any more, and the most recent posts here from 2016 seemed to confirm that.

Anyone been up to the Farmyard lately? Planning on doing an overnighter there with my wife this weekend, but if there's no water in the spring we might do a daywalk instead.

I’m interested to hear what you find out. I’m likely going to be there over the aus day weekend.

we were up there a few months ago and there was no water.. lots of water down the bottom of the ranges and it's not a huge walk so we just carried all we needed for the weekend

Didn't end up going to Cathedral Ranges, went and did the Beeripmo walk instead. Plenty of water there!

There is a spring about 500m down the track that had water in late winter, but looked fairly permanent - follow the stairs down until you hear running water.
