Looks great ofuros.
I've had hennessy hammocks for the last twenty years. First started using hammocks in the seventies. This truly is a new design type. There are many times when the fly mesh has given a claustrophobic feeling.
Probably the only reason i often choose to lie in the open on a tarp on the ground with my partner.
I always prefer to be off the ground though. Ticks and leeches and ants are best avoided.

Can't live without a bug net where I am.

Also, often I hang from trees that aren't straight, so be interesting to know how sensitive those bottom lines are to angle to the hammock.

Yes, definitely would be a looong night without a bugnet.
But it does look comfy & I like the slip-in-a insulated pad sleeve.

Maybe one end tensioned top & bottom would be enough for those bendy tree situations, perhaps a side choke at the base of the tree or a stake driven into the ground...will play around when it arrives on our shores.

That looks a similar to the https://www.jacksrbetter.com/product/be ... e-hammock/ but the Jacks is deeper, making it more stable and doesn't need low strings below to stop it spinning!

The Jacks version has it with the bug net, weight is 1.1-1.2kg

Indrek is in feedback mode at the moment, he's already made a wider version from the feedback that he has received so far.

You could drop approx 200g by changing to lighter tree straps.
I've tried a few net combinations... a bivvy bag with built in bugnet, half body bugnet, then ended up sewing in a full length zippered bugnet...better.

I'll lighten the suspension over the next week or so & then check total weight.

Do I really need two zippered pockets, one either side...evil grin

It's starting to look like a Frankenhammock with all these mods.

I do like that Trek Pole adaptor solution.

Ive been tempted to get a bridge hammock for some time. I have yet to try one out. I am not too keen on buying without trying.

Trekking poles as spreaders would be one of my requirements.

When you said above that there may be a test model floating around Australia for a "pass it forward" did that happen?

'Pass it foward' has been & gone, Baggage...nobody was interested in the narrow version at the time, so I just shared my thoughts/improvements ideas with Indrek & bought the hammock & modified it to suit myself.

Reminds me, have to find some time to make a UQ(underquilt) for it...

My Madtree Tarseer hammock is still my No1 favourite...but the Treem would be a close 2nd for comfort.
