Wild Swimming

I have recently been inspired by the book "Wild Swimming" to get out and visit some local spots and get wet...

Wish there was also a 'Wild Soaking'....remote hot thermal springs in the bush. :D
My aching limbs are relaxing just thinking about it. Lovely shots, Lizzy.
Mountain views are good for my soul...& getting to them is good for my waistline !

Yes wild soaking would be Devine!
Shots aren't the greatest- phone- but the spots were fantastic! It's certainly been motivational to get out and have a dip before it gets too cold. So many places close by that I haven't dipped in before.....possibly because they were visited in winter!

About a km off-track, Tamborine NP. Had a lovely wild swim with my 6yo son yesterday...tall towering palms, large goanna, cool dark waters, warm sunny slabs & pork satay sticks with sticky rice from the Sunday market to fill our hungry bellies. Enjoyable family time. 8)

Will concentrate on gorges, canyons & waterfalls over the spring/summer season.
The spurs, ridges & summits can wait until the cooler autumn/ winter months...

I do a fair bit of this on my walks in Tassie but recently took it to the U S of A. The expression on my partners face attests to the water temperature in this lake
