Benowie Track, near Hornsby.
He took absolutely zero notice of us. We stayed out of his way.
Cheers

Lyrebird, running creek track, Kinglake NP.
(I had to downscale the image and skip a lot of frames to get it sub 1MB, so it's a bit janky)

Didn't manage to get a photo, but yesterday we accidentally disturbed 3 roosting Tawny Frogmouths, who were roosting nearly at ground level on a fallen log in the depths of Girraween NP.

Dingo. Somewhere in the SE QLD last Sunday. Not going to say where because I don't want the poor animal being chased and killed by trigger happy rangers!
This was his den before it took off when they heard us early in the morning:

Apologies for the poor quality of the photo as I only had my crappy phone camera with me and the photo subject was a long way up a big tree.
A Wedge Tail Eagle was investigating a Magpie nest and the Magpies were not happy. The Eagle was sitting on top of the nest as it was too big to fit in it. There is a Magpie on a branch above it ready to attack. It hung around for about 5 minutes then gave up and flew off. This is the third time I have seen a Wedge Tail flying around my area in the last 2 weeks.

While doing Kanangra-Boyd to Kowmung River (don't do it, it's now heavily overgrown and is a distressing bushbash) I believe I saw the blue mountains panther. It was leaping away from me as I bashed through the bush. It was too loud and jumping too high for it to have been a boar or anything. Didn't think it could have actually been a black panther till I saw on google that there have been multiple sightings.

I know the Kowmung river. But 'Kanagra-Boyd' is a National Park, and I have no idea what TL is talking about.
And I have seen wild pigs in the Kowmung valley quite recently.
As for relying on Google for sightings ... words fail me!
Cheers

Any more information on which way you were bush-bashing to the Kowmung? Out of interest I caught something on the trap camera at Dexs Creek in 2014 (lower left hand side). I don't think it is a black panther but it is cat-like.

Not as exciting as a black panther, a black Land Mullet near Minyon Falls in Nightcap National Park. The place was swarming with them.

Whilst exploring one of our local urban bushland areas I came across lots of spider webs glistening in the morning sun. Spent most of my time removing webs from my face and body as I was walking. So, so many spiders out with all this rain.

This one wanted to stay in the sun.

Almost stepped on it, listening to a podcast. I went off track around it.

Strictly speaking not seen on a walk but this little fella, not much bigger than a grapefruit was alone and bravely searching out a snack of ants.
On the firebreak cut, where we see quite a lot of Echidnas near Silvan Road (Dandenongs).
