I have no idea which coast, but I'll start the bidding to narrow it down. Somewhere in the vicinity of South Cape Bay??

Head West. Then North.

I could imagine the cliffs at Trial Harbour looking a bit like this further north from where I got to.

Near Granite Creek?
Thu 09 Sep, 2021 10:22 am
Further north than Trial Harbour, and further north than Granite Creek.

Those headlands are visible to the south from the higher bumps just north of Granite, but I can't work out where you be to get that angle on them. Must be lower and further west. I don't recall rocks like that on the coast near Foster, so the next guess will be St Clair Creek.

To be honest, I don't recall exactly where it was. I walked a couple of hours, slowly, down from somewhere near / in Granville Harbour. I was hoping someone would recognise it.
Take it away nnw.

If it isn't Granite, it pretty well has to be St Clair, because there aren't all that many coast access tracks from Climies. Lovely walking but, as long as there aren't any engines around.
Next, an appropriately frozen spot, given today's weather:

Thu 09 Sep, 2021 6:38 pm
With that clue I would say Carter Lakes.
Thu 09 Sep, 2021 6:47 pm
Of course, and I'm rapt someone made the connection. Take it away, teak.

That is the place Tortise. I didn't know they had names. This is the bottom one.

Thanks, Gerry. I think Branigan is the only one that does have a name, and this one probably isn't it.
