Hello there,
i recently moved to Tasmania and will go to Lake Pedder next weekend for some bushwalking. Can anyone tell me where it is really good? There are some possibilities and on the map it is difficult to decide which is the best. I would like to do some day walks. Is is worth walking into the port davey track for a bit?
I appreciate any advice!

Best bet would be to head up the Mt Anne Track, maybe as far as the High Camp Hut - good track, easy to follow and amazing views.
After High camp hut you will need skills on rock to go to the summit of Mt Eliza. I did this walk several times when I first arrived in Tas, progressing further the more confident I got.
Pretty steep, but you can turn around any time you want.

Taken half an hour from carpark. It gets better the higher you go. but I won't spoil it with more pics
Port Davey Track will give you good views of the Western Arthur range and is a lot flatter - once again it is a go as far as you feel comfortable, then turn around and head back.

And muddier. But only in patches.
And if you get a taste for the gooey stuff, there's a good daywalk from Red Tape Creek out to Lake Mudd - errrr, I mean Lake Judd - and back. With the possibility of an off-track sidetrip up Schnells Ridge, which is brilliant.

There are plenty of good walks in the Lake Pedder area.
Assuming you're interested in moderate day walks with tracks, some of the options are Mt Eliza/Anne, Schnells Ridge, Lake Judd, Mt Wedge, The Sentinels, Mt Sprent, a walk along the Port Davey Track. For overnight treks more options become available to you
