Colo River/Dooli Creek/Culoul Trail

Postby truhoneybunz » Thu 16 Mar, 2023 8:43 am

Hi there has anyone been down to the colo via the ridge that runs above Dooli Creek off the Culoul fire trail recently? Went there late 2021 and it was very overgrown with no sign of the footpad that used to go along the ridge. Thanks.

Yes I was there in January.
Came up the trail from the Colo River. Its very overgrown, as the the trail that goes out to Crawfords Lookout and I have been to that lookout 3 times recently. I cannot be sure that I followed the same trail everytime I went to the lookout, but I did get there.
With regards to the other trail, it pretty much disappears about the last 1km before it meet the Culoul Range trail but if you go out the correct ridge its easy enough to follow down to the river.
