Not Pelion West
A long long way south (and then a little east) of Pelion West

Adamsons?

Not Adamsons
I had just climbed the peak (where I did have a lovely view of Adamsons) and was now traversing it’s northern flanks on route to some more Abels

Is that the hut on the slopes of Mt Dundas?
Thu 05 Oct, 2023 1:02 pm
No, I’m afraid not. This is the only hut I know of with a split door.

It looks very palatial. I like the library. Is it junction lake?
Thu 05 Oct, 2023 3:03 pm
Not Junction. We visited Junction on the way But we did not follow a track from Junctuon to here.

Kitchen has a split door. So does ... I think it's Meston; Meston or Ball. And I've read of another recently but can't recall where ...

I think (but may be wrong) that junction has a split door, which is why I nominated it. No matter, this is one of huts with split doors....

In the interests of keeping the game moving…
This is on an island.

I've visited Lakes Ball and Meston huts but can't remember if either has a split door. I haven't been here but I'm well aware of the controversy around it. Given the reference to a trackless approach I'm thinking this might be Halls Hut at Lake Malbena. Although I can't see if it has a split door.

Yes John. This is Halls Hut.

Thanks Nik. I'd like to think I might visit one day, independently.

I don't know if royalty has ever visited here, but one of them called into the pub in for a drink at my destination.

I suspect this might be the King River from the ABT railway
