There's a good reason for that Nik, spot on. It's about time you posted a pic in 'the game'

Here's my picture of the same tarn, taken from the other end, with a little ice on it. :-)

Here's the next photo then. I think it will be a fairly easy one for anyone who's been there.

You got it! Your turn, pazzar.

Its a wonderful spot there. I remember going there, it was dry enough to sit underneath the waterfall and have lunch, and that big rock in the foreground is great for sunbathing when it is dry!
This one also should be easy for those who have been there.

Ooooh that's cheeky. Given it has a cushion plant foreground it has to be a tarn at altitude - wild guess maybe Sthn Ranges, I think you went there recently???

Yes I did go there recently...

You got it! It was a very wet morning, and this was about the limit of my vision for the rest of the day. The cloud came in, and it never left.

Sounds like a familiar story, hoping to do that walk in the next summer or two. This was from a daywalk.....

Yeah I have revised my policy after that day, I could have chosen soooo many nice walks and I did that  Dawson was pretty nice though....
This one looks Eastern Arthur-ish, don't know where though. I better do some work.....

looks more like the "sunshine range" - you know where I mean
looking north to coronation from or near remote

Re: GAME: Where Am I? (Continued)

Wed 28 Apr, 2010 1:16 pm

Not in the Arthurs.
Capella Crags is slightly less spectacular than these peaks :)

Hello SM. I've not seen you on the game for a while.... Trust you to pop up when a featured photo is somewhere youve been twice....

Yes Coronation and Double peak clearly visable in this pic of the Frankland range taken from somewhere near Redtop

Re: GAME: Where Am I? (Continued)

Wed 28 Apr, 2010 1:31 pm

Mark

I think you should check your notes - redtop would have Madonna Ridge square in the middle of the photo - not zooming off to the right.
I am with scrubmaster - I think you are out on Remote

Re: GAME: Where Am I? (Continued)

Wed 28 Apr, 2010 1:34 pm

I dont have notes. I just walk and take pictures :)
It's from the Frankland range. As I said somewhere NEAR Redtop. Remote peak is kinda near Redtop... :?

Re: GAME: Where Am I? (Continued)

Wed 28 Apr, 2010 1:41 pm

was just passing and thought I'd drop in for a look.

Thanks for the back up Brian. If were to be really picky, we're not even on the Franklands - Remote is actually on the Companion Range....

these mountains are obvious, but what bump is it from ?
