Need a country or continent for the International game, but I've managed to track it down (I think).
Lake Wainamu Sand Dunes, West Auckland?

Correct and apologies for not naming the country.

Thanks, no worries. The Tassie game is simpler from that perspective, many of the photos are tough though.

Passing the lake I could have gone looking for blueberries on this walk.

Some much viewed previous feats of athleticism around these parts. Said with a shiver.

Apparently the most popular walk of this type in North America.

I realise John that you are bored witless sitting in front of your computer awaiting your next "Where am I challenge" so I will pander to your enforced lame induced boredom and proffer Athabasca Glacier to keep you from going completely Trump like mad.

Well I have now relocated to Canberra for a week in a vain attempt to relieve my boredom Greg. But you have temporarily stopped my madness by guessing correctly again.

Canberra! Crikey John, you had a knee recon, not a lobotomy. I truly feel for you in your months of need.
As I'm going away for a few days in the high country shortly, I will try and make this easy and stay with your Canberra theme ( sort of) .
This ones in Germany.

Well Greg, first full day here and I managed to escape most of the lobotomised segment of the population. Did a very short walk in Namadgi NP, while looking longingly at the start/end of the AAWT. Then a couple more micro walks at Tidbinbilla NR, all within my current, limited, capacity.
Anyway Mrs John is waiting to go out to dinner so I'd better get on with it. The tunnel to the elevator to Eagles Nest?

Got it in one!
The connection was a bit obtuse tho> At The Eagle Nest very bad people swanned around masquerading as politicians, whilst in Canberra very bad politicians swan around pretending to be real people.
Go John go...

While distracted by being away for a week in the ACT I totally forgot I'd posted this until just now.
Clearly the game has slowed to near death but maybe some clues will help revive it.
I didn't wear a grass skirt on the island like some of the inhabitants do at times.
Did a day hike to the upper base of one of the mountains at the back.
I hear drums. Oui?
