Thanks, still in the Blue Mountains, NSW
Where I'm standing, I don't believe has a name. But I'm on a range, with a brook behind me with the same name.

Sorry mate but I have virtually the exact same photo. It's amazing how long that fallen log must have been jammed in the gully.
What mountain am I on and what mountain am I looking at NSW:

I haven't been here so I actually have no idea. But is it Fosters Mountain and 17R?
Mon 29 Jul, 2024 7:02 am
Good enough. It is actually Fosters Mountain and Round Mountain.
Would be much bushier now though.

Thanks, yes most reports seem to indicate strong post fire regrowth in many areas.

Correct, just at the Meringo creek/lagoon entrance. On this occasion I was walking from Congo to the point and back. Back to you.

No one has bitten and I'm twiddling my thumbs waiting for day surgery admission, so may as well have another go. I'm not a rock climber but have you just ascended up that wall? Research suggests Pure Point Lookout/climbing location in Booyar State Forest near Gympie.

Mate, you are good with a map and images and we are indeed at Point Pure.
