Yes, it’s Crescent Bay.

Anyone else can jump in.

Easy one for the Tassie experts. Name of the cove where the yacht is moored.
Sun 08 Sep, 2024 6:38 pm
Certainly not an expert, but I'll try Bramble.
Sun 08 Sep, 2024 6:43 pm
Yep. From Stokes.

Thanks, Sandy. There's a large part of the SW I need to get around to visiting, but there aren't too many named coves to pick between. Next:

Only seen a similar view from Hartz, much further away.
I'm looking at Mt Bobs or The Boomerang on the map. I'll try Bobs Plateau.

Hi John. I was looking at Fedder from the other side. I just realised this peak's unofficial name isn't on LISTmap. It is, however, on Abels lists. Edit: It was a popular Abel to finish on, as the track had been closed for a long time.

I thought this would be more well-known. Here's where the clue was meant to send people, but obviously it's not well-known either.

That would have to be the Needles.

Arthur plains near Seven Mile Creek

Not the WAs pictured, the mountains are a different popular range.

Frenchmans, Wards? in front of Philps, buttongrass ... makes me think maybe somewhere along the Pigeon House route to Rocky Hill.
Tue 10 Sep, 2024 1:20 pm
In the right area.
Frenchmans and Philps are in the shot, but not Wards.
We were on a peak. Not the most prominent one around, but it was worth a point or two.
Tue 10 Sep, 2024 3:22 pm
Alma? That was the option I was thinking about.
Tue 10 Sep, 2024 3:33 pm
Yes, Alma is correct.
Over to you.

That's a nice little outing. The view of the Cheyne cliffs is superb.
