Maybe slightly north of Mount Karamu
Mon 16 Jun, 2025 1:36 pm
I'm guessing further along and north of the South West Cape Range high point. Either way, you did have a stunning day for it!

I’m having trouble getting on to the right page. Maybe this will help.

Well, that worked for me.
Yes, we had stopped north of the high point of the SW Cape Range before descending to Windowpane Bay.

That campsite by the creek at Window Pane Bay, though. What a beauty!
Next up ...

Is this at Lake Aeacus on the way to Walled Mountain?

Hard to tell what your objective is here.
Looks like just off the Anthony Road.
Wild guess would be an off track access to Basin Lake / Geikie?

Nowhere out near Perambulator Ridge?

Correct eggs. We're just heading up onto the side of the Henty Moraine. The object was to get to Geikie but we ran out of time. The bare rock in the middle is an abandoned dam site.

Very nice - Can you drive to the old dam and cross easily?

No. but it's a short (1 km) walk down the old somewhat overgrown access road to the dam site. Not much to see there, then an easy climb onto the moraine. The dam was never built. They (hydro) started preparing the site, but abandoned it.

Wouldn't swear to it, but that reminds me of the view to the SSW from Lamonts Lookout.
